Racing Enthusiasts gather around the track and relive racing history. Join the Barn Burners for 1:32 scale slot car racing action. We are a group of history minded racing enthusiasts who enjoy getting together for a little racing fun. Our official races occur every Wednesday night and every other Saturday.at the club's Club home track on Richmond Road and twice a year at the Battle Barn of Williamsburg. The club center has a 75ft copy of Silverstone and soon a 100ft Spa course. The Barn has a 100ft road course that we race at twice a year. We hold multiple races in several different series: Formula One, IMSA GT, Trans-Am, Classic and Modern NASCAR. We also occasionally go on a road trip to a local slot car track or even attend an actual race in Richmond. The cars we race, for the most part, are right out of the box 1/32 . We allow for minor modifications to make up the difference between brands. (see our rules section)
WHERE WE RACE At the reknowned bastion of bombast, bravado and blitz - The Battle Barn!! The easiest (maybe the only) route is to follow I-64 towards Williamsburg. Take exit 231-B (in the direction of Croaker). Shortly after you exit the Interstate and merge onto Croaker Road you'll spot the omnipresent 7-11. Turn left there onto Old Mill Lane and go about a block to the intersection. You turn left onto Cedar Point Lane. Approximately 1/4 mile afer that you'll see the Elmwood sign and you turn right onto Elmwood Road. Follow Elmwood until you spot your second left turn (Chinkapin Lane aka Road 1608). Take that left and follow the road until you reach a T-intersection. Turn left and at the second driveway on the left (203 Locust), turn in and you'll see the Battle Barn strait in front of your nose (and yes it really does look like a barn!!).
